carton type and structural characteristics

cartons can be divided into folding cartons and paste cartons according to their forming process

1. Folding carton

folding carton is usually a thin folding board (thickness of 0.3 ~ 1.1mm) after cutting and indentation, folded and combined into shape, and folded in a flat shape for transportation and storage before loading goods. The advantages of this kind of carton are low cost and circulation cost, suitable for large and medium-sized batch production, and many structural changes, but its strength is low

folding cartons can be divided into tube folding cartons, disc folding cartons, tube disc folding cartons and non tube non disc folding cartons according to their structure, among which tube and disc folding cartons are most commonly used

(1) tube folding carton

tube folding carton refers to that the cover of the carton is the smallest among all the box surfaces, and the volume of the carton is generally small, which is characterized by convenient loading and taking of the contents, and the cover should not be opened automatically. The box body of the tubular folding carton is formed by rotating each body plate (i.e. non cover plate and non bottom plate) successively at a certain angle with the intersection line of each two adjacent body plates (i.e. height dimension indentation line) as the axis until the equipment enters the normal working state

common tubular folding cartons, such as toothpaste boxes, have relatively simple sides, and structural changes mainly occur on the swing wings of the box cover and bottom. This kind of carton is mainly used for the packaging of shoes and hats, clothing, food, gifts and other commodities

Paste carton can be divided into cover box, shake cover box, boss box, wide bottom box, drawer box, swivel box, etc. from the box structure

carton manufacturing process

the manufacturing process of carton varies due to its structure. There are two main processes

(1) folding carton production process

in this process, the processes that have the greatest impact on the quality of cartons are printing and die cutting. Poor printing quality affects the beauty and promotional function of cartons, while poor die cutting quality affects the precise molding of cartons, and even causes waste of raw materials. Therefore, in the production of folding carton, we should pay special attention to the manufacturing accuracy of printing plate and die-cutting plate

(2) box pasting production process (taking the tray carton as an example)

the process that has the greatest impact on the quality of the carton in this process is box pasting, that is, paste the face paper and the base paperboard into a box, which can be done by hand or on the carton pasting machine. It is often equipped with an automatic gluing machine. When pasting boxes, it is required that the corners and decorative horizontal heads should be firmly bonded; If the side force measurement system is not calibrated and adjusted, it is likely to cause error bars and internal traction in the test results, which should be flat and firm; After the side plug and cover paste are made, there is no paste, no bubbles, no wrinkles, smooth and smooth; The position of trademark pattern should be accurate; Cartons should be dry and tidy.
