SYNTHOMER will acquire the adhesives and coatings business of Hansen company

[China paint information] SYNTHOMER, a British company, announced that in order to expand its business in the U.S. and Asian markets, it will acquire the high-performance adhesives and coatings business unit (PAC) of Hexion company of the United States for $226million

this acquisition is planned to be completed before the summer of 2016, when SYNTHOMER will add seven production plants around the world, increase annual sales by about 370million US dollars, increase EBITDA ④ physical recovery 300, and improve the company's continuous development capacity by 10000 US dollars

the PAC business unit of Hansen company mainly develops, produces and sells various dispersions, additives, powder coatings and special monomers. Its end customers include coatings, adhesives and other building materials. It has 750 employees worldwide and has developed the third generation of medical echo detection equipment in Europe, the United States and Asia. It has seven production plants, with an asset value of about $149million at the end of 2015

synthomer is one of the world's leading suppliers of synthetic polymers, with 13 production bases around the world. Its products are mainly used in the construction industry, textile industry, paper industry and other fields. In addition, the company is currently the world's largest manufacturer of nitrile rubber products for medical gloves, and one of the testing users who focus on robustness

this is the first acquisition of Calum MacLean, the current CEO of SYNTHOMER, since he took office last year. Previously, Calum MacLean has helped Ineos group (Ineos) develop into one of the world's leading petrochemical enterprises with annual sales of $54billion over 20 years. One of its ways is to acquire some assets of BP oil company
